The National Aquarium is proud to welcome the Ocean Today Kiosk, a small version of the Smithsonian’s new Sant Ocean Hall exhibit, to Baltimore. Designed to reveal a portion of the information from the exhibit that opened Friday, September 26, the interactive kiosk features ocean news and videos from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA), a regional news feed, and important ocean conservation information.
The National Aquarium in Baltimore will celebrate Beyond the Boardwalk, a series of events celebrating ocean life, and sharing ways to protect and restore our local waterways for thousands of animals that call them home. Annually taking place in June, Beyond the Boardwalk features a variety of exciting and interactive programs, games and stories on ways adults and children can be responsible and get involved.
National Aquarium in Baltimore staff were joined by volunteers and an enthusiastic crowd on the beach at 40th street in Ocean City, Maryland to release a female harbor seal rehabilitated by the Aquarium’s Marine Animal Rescue Program (MARP).
