New to the 4-D Immersion Theater:
Dora & Diego’s 4-D Adventure: Catch that Robot Butterfly!
About the film: Swiper has invented a Robot Butterfly, but when he loses control of his creation and the Robot Butterfly begins swiping rainforest animals’ homes, it’s up to Dora, Diego, Boots and YOU to catch that Robot Butterfly. Join your adventurous amigos on Nickelodeon’s high-speed, eye-popping chase from the warm rainforest to the icy Arctic! Let’s catch that Robot Butterfly
The Aquarium’s 4-D ImmersionTheater brings visitors closer to the sights, sounds, and smells of the action. The theater is equipped with 4-D capabilities, which combine the high-definition drama of 3-D film with special sensory effects such as mist and wind. Shows are a $5 upgrade to the general admission ticket and run multiple times daily.

28, 29: Shark Tag… You’re It! (Baltimore) –
Join the Aquarium staff for a day of shark tagging off the coast of Ocean City, Maryland. Tagging sharks provides scientists with information on stock identity, migration and abundance, age and growth, mortality, and behavior. Captain Mark Sampson’s experience and reputation have made him a sought-after lecturer, demonstrator, writer, and guide for shark tagging and other offshore fishing techniques. Ages 13 and up.
This is an exclusive, hands-on event; don’t miss out on an exciting day on the water. Times available are 7 a.m. – 12 p.m. or 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. For more information, call 410-727-FISH.

11: Deaf Awareness Day (Baltimore) -
Twice a year, the Aquarium hosts sign language interpreters to narrate our public presentations including dolphin shows, animal feedings, and dive programs. 25: Fort McHenry Field Day (Baltimore) -
Celebrate National Public Lands Day with the Aquarium and the National Park Service by volunteering for debris clean-up and trail, butterfly garden and rain garden maintenance at the wetland adjacent to the Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine. Registration is required and space is limited. Must be at least 14 years old.
