In conjunction with National Public Land Day, officials from the National Aquarium led a group of 200 community volunteers in removing debris, restoring habitat for wildlife, and maintaining trails at the Fort McHenry Wetland, located within the Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine in Baltimore.

After a year-long rehabilitation, the National Aquarium’s Marine Animal Rescue Program (MARP), returned a now-healthy loggerhead sea turtle to its ocean habitat from the beaches at Assateague State Park. Over 500 people gathered on the beach for the release and watched in anticipation as the turtle swam through the waves, and returned to sea.

Value carrier JetBlue Airways (Nasdaq: JBLU) today launches nonstop service to its 57th destination, Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI), offering four daily flights to Boston’s Logan International Airport (BOS), one of seven focus cities for the airline.
