A New Turtle for MARP

The Marine Animal Rescue Program team has been very active with sea turtle rescues this year, and their work is not finished just yet. In late October a new green sea turtle patient was submitted to the MARP hospital. The turtle was found cold stunned in New Jersey and transported to the National Aquarium for rehabilitation.

Alligators Take Center Stage at the National Aquarium, Washington

From the swamps of Louisiana to our nation’s capital, four new American alligators have joined over 250 other species on display at the National Aquarium, Washington DC. Chef John Shields to Host Fresh Thoughts Dinner

On November 3rd, the National Aquarium, Baltimore will welcome nationally acclaimed American coastal cuisine chef, John Shields, to headline Fresh Thoughts: A Sustainable Seafood Dining Series that celebrates sustainable and scrumptious seafood choices. The evening’s menu will feature a variety of farmed trout recipes created by John Shields especially for this event.

Aquarium Awarded $480,000 NOAA Education Grant

The National Aquarium has received a $480,000 grant supporting its participation in a national coalition of Aquariums educating about climate change.
