Baltimore (August 18, 2009) — The National Aquarium’s popular community discount program, Fridays After Five, returns on Friday, September 11. Every Friday evening through March guests entering the National Aquarium, Baltimore between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. (exploring until 9:30 p.m.) will enjoy a low admission price of $8.

This fall the Aquarium will also welcome the return of the cultural series programming that explores and celebrates international traditions in art, music, literature, dance, and cuisine. Starting in October, the first Fridays After Five of every month will feature special activities and performances honoring:

  • October 2 : Latino Heritage
  • November 6: Native Cultures
  • December 4: World Holiday Traditions
  • January 1: Asian-Pacific Heritage
  • February 5: African-American Heritage
  • March 5: Global Women’s Celebration

Fridays After Five are a great way for local visitors to rediscover the wonders of the Aquarium’s collection of over 16,000 magnificent animals, and explore new exhibits, like Jellies Invasion: Oceans Out of Balance, at a greatly reduced price.
