National Aquarium recieves 2008 Telly Award
Baltimore, MD (July 6, 2008)- The National Aquarium in Baltimore announced today to that it has received a Silver Telly Award for a conservation-themed film created by its Visual Production team.
The film, honored in the category of wildlife/nature, was created to engage visitors with the Aquarium’s aquatic collection and currently runs as a pre-show in the 4-D Immersion Theater.
The one minute, face-paced film takes viewers through the Aquarium’s habitats, featuring a variety of the fascinating animals found in the Aquarium’s aquatic collection. A simple, yet powerful tag line is played at the end- “Can you imagine a world without them? Neither can we.” It was created to connect visitors to the Aquarium’s conservation message before viewing the featured 4-D movie. Visitors are introduced to 4D effects while watching the short piece. The film can be viewed on the Aquarium’s new blog: aqua.org/blog.
